Argentine Ants are the most observed type of ant in San Diego. Here are some things about them you may not have known?!

✅ Argentine Ants are Omnivorous, meaning they can eat almost anything, but prefer sweet foods.

✅ When foraging, Ants leave a pheromone trail so they know where they’ve been.

✅ Queen Ants have wings, which they shed when they start a new nest. For every 1,000 worker ants, it’s estimated there can be 15 queens.

✅ Ants don’t have lungs. Oxygen enters through tiny holes all over the body and carbon dioxide leaves through the same holes.
